Details: Un dpartement de biologie molculaire,sur un campus. Quelque part en Europe, dans un futur proche. Un jeune gnticien idaliste, Thomas Nielsen, rencontre un monstre emprisonn, un tueur de femmes, Vincent Iparrak. Il prtend tudier son ADN, mais il a un tout autre agenda en tte. Le chercheur parvient convaincre le tueur de se faire cobaye. Si le gnticien prouve que le tueur tait violent de naissance, il lui vitera la peine de mort ; en change, le tueur s’engage laisser le chercheur modifier son ADN, afin d’radiquer l’animal en lui. Par une succession de hasards, ces deux hommes que tout oppose vont faire le chemin inverse de l’Autre. Le tueur vers la compassion, le gnticien vers l’agressivit…Version franaise et anglaise. A young idealistic geneticist, Thomas Nielsen, meets Vincent Iparrak, a criminal monster now serving time for having brutally murdered several women. Nielsen pretends to be merely studying Iparrak’s DNA, but in fact the has his own agenda. The researcher convinces the killer to be his guinea pig: If the geneticist can prove that Iparrak’s violence is inborn, he can save him from the death penalty. In exchange, the killer must allow the scientist to modify his DNA so to eliminate the « animal » inside him. A chain of uncanny events brings these two polar opposites together in a clash between humanity and bestiality: The killer discovers compassion and the geneticist embraces violence.
