After fifteen years with a trio, Franois invited saxophonist Andr Leroux into his group in 1998 to form an explosive quartet. Following the release of his album « LIVE » on the Effendi label (which in 2002 won a JUNO Award for Best Contemporary Jazz Album as well as a Prix Opus for Best Jazz Album), Franois is back with his sixth CD. In this tribute to his mentors and friends Wayne Shorter, Boubacar Diabat and Ornette Coleman, everything is reshaped and transformed, even time itself.
